Press ⌘,, click Settings in the sidebar, or use the app menu. Settings has General, Agents, Appearance, Terminal, Usage, and Privacy sections.
In Appearance, choose Light or Dark mode, select a theme, and turn Arc Mode on or off. Dark mode with the System theme is the default.
30 themes
System, Absolutely, Aubergine, Ayu, Catppuccin, Codex, Dracula, Everforest, GitHub, Gruvbox, Linear, Lobster, Material, Matrix, Monokai, Night Owl, Nord, Notion, OG, One, Oscurange, Raycast, Rose Pine, Sentry, Solarized, Temple, Tokyo Night, Vercel, VS Code Plus, and Xcode.
The palette applies to the window, sidebar, status bar, pages, controls, dialogs, terminal, and embedded GitHub content. Agent logos retain their original brand colors.
Change themes quickly
Press ⌘K, choose Change Theme…, and select a palette without leaving your current screen. The command bar can also switch between Light and Dark, as can the theme button in the status bar.
Your own themes
Add a folder to ~/.orchestra/themes and it appears in the Custom section of the theme picker. To start from an existing palette, select it and choose Duplicate as Custom Theme…; Orchestra saves a copy there and selects it, so you can edit its theme.json. See Custom themes for the file format.
Window and app icon
On macOS, Settings → Appearance also has:
- Translucent Window: show the desktop through the window with a blur, with an opacity from 40% to 95%. Dialogs and menus stay opaque, and the window stays opaque while macOS Reduce Transparency is on.
- App Icon: a White or Black Dock icon, kept when you reopen Orchestra.
Adjust terminal text
In Settings → Terminal, set the font size between 10 and 24 pt and the horizontal and vertical padding between 0 and 24 px. Turn off Font Smoothing for thinner, lighter glyphs. Appearance and terminal preferences persist across launches.
