Terminal
A real interactive terminal, running your agent or shell in its own folder.
Your shell and environment
Every session hosts an interactive xterm.js terminal with 256-color and true-color support. Orchestra starts it through your login shell, so your profile, rc files, and PATH load before the selected CLI.
Your usual shell setup and installed tools are available to the agent. Use plain terminals when you just need a shell in the project folder.
Terminal appearance
The terminal follows the selected app theme and Light or Dark mode, including its background, text, and ANSI colors.
Open Settings → Terminal to set the font size from 10 to 24 pt, the horizontal and vertical padding from 0 to 24 px, and turn font smoothing on or off. These preferences are saved between launches.
Process lifetime
Switching sessions keeps processes running. Closing a session stops its process and removes it from the project. Closing the app window quits Orchestra; while sessions are running, it asks first unless you turn off Confirm Before Quitting.
Terminal scrollback is kept while the process is in the open app. It is not part of the saved workspace snapshot. Resuming a session restores the agent’s conversation through its CLI.
If a CLI cannot be found
Check that the agent command is installed and available in your login shell. Open a new session after correcting your shell setup. Keep authentication in the agent’s own CLI.
For the command names, see Supported agents.
